V-Ray is one of the most widely used rendering engines in the world, trusted by professionals in architecture, game development, and VFX. From blockbuster films like Game of Thrones to AAA game titles like Titanfall, V-Ray powers world-class visualisation pipelines.
Chaos Group brought us on to design a unified icon system for their CAD software plugins, including SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, and NeUI. With a vast and technically complex feature set, the challenge was to develop a clean, scalable visual language that worked across platforms and screen sizes.
We collaborated closely with company director Corey Rubadue and his team to create a bespoke icon style that reflected V-Ray’s brand while supporting usability. Using our Icon Manager tool, we managed the delivery of hundreds of icons across multiple platforms, formats, and screen densities, ensuring consistency and efficiency throughout.
