Internet Applications asked us to come up with some ideas for their new app icon. Starting from scratch can be a challenge, but when the app in question has a wealth of real-world iconography to choose from, there’s so many options for creativity.

We worked through a number of concept sketches based around mapping and hiking before settling on this backpack based design. We’re particularly proud of the colour schemes, which make it really easy to find your ‘hiking equipment’ on-screen.
